What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates uses a special machine ‘a Reformer’ that adds resistance and support to the traditional Mat Pilates exercises which create a more challenging and dynamic experience.
It is an ideal type of exercise for those seeking a challenging and effective workout, for individuals looking to improve flexibility and mobility, athletes looking to enhance their performance and support their existing training, and for those recovering from certain injuries.

Why do Reformer at YOU Pilates Studio?
We are a small studio, with maximum of 6 clients in our reformer classes and taught by a highly trained and experienced instructor watching, correcting and supporting you throughout your session. We are able to cater for different abilities and those with injuries, modifying exercises as need be. You won’t get lost in the crowd as we can constantly see you and watch your progress encouraging you to challenge yourself.

Beginner Reformer
This is a foundation class going through the fundamentals of pilates and introducing you to the machines.
Come and learn the basic principles in a small group setting and build your confidence and discover the joy of movement.
Great for beginners or those wanting to build confidence or revise their foundations.

Reformer
This is an open level class incoroporting all the principles of Pilates. Using the spring resistance of the reformers to challenge and assist to help balance and connect the mind and body.
We can incorporate props and small apparatus to make it fun and add an extra layer to the class.
No 2 classes are ever the same!!
Due to the small class sizes, these are suitable or all levels, as we are able to modify exercise for YOU if needed. Guaranteed attention from the instructors.

Jump Reformer
This is a high energy class on the reformer using the jump board to add a bit of ‘bounce’ to the class!!
Fun and dynamic class guaranteed to get your heart rate up whilst still focusing on form, alignment, co-ordination & control.
Clients must have done at least 5 reformer classes and have a solid understanding and ability to engage their core.
This class is not suitable for those with injuries, particularly lower back or knee injuries and also is not suitable for Pre/Post natal clients.
